Building from the field inward

Stone holds the weather. Timber gathers warmth. The path through the meadow makes arrival part of the house.

Place

Highland meadow at the edge of a mixed woodland.

Scope

Architecture, landscape, interiors, and seasonal stewardship plan.

Ground

Re-established native meadow, stone runnels, and low-energy lighting.

Meadow House extending along the contour beneath a blue evening sky.
The low roof keeps the meadow and distant tree line visually continuous.

A long edge, carefully occupied

The pavilion follows one contour so living spaces open toward the horizon while service rooms make a protective northern wall.

Light where it matters

Low fixtures reveal the path and stone texture without turning the meadow into a lit object. The house reads as shelter, not display.

Warm light tracing the stone entrance and meadow path at Meadow House.
Threshold study · the portrait source keeps the entrance composition intact.
